In 2009, Clear AV was accredited with the InfoComm Diamond Solution Provider award. Provided by InfoComm International, this is the only sector award to achieve accreditation through the International Organisation of Standardisation (ISO).

Clear AV is one of the few AV professional teams in the UK to achieve this standard of excellence.

Philip Dowds Managing Director

Philip founded the company in 1992 and has considerable experience in the AV industry, designing and implementing AV systems in prestigious building projects for both the private and public sectors and also high end residential. Philip is skilled at delivering complex AV systems successfully while emphasising the need to meet client satisfaction. Philip is an Infocomm CTS certifed technology specialist and a Cedia CTS certified professional designer.
Terry McParland Business Development Manager

Terry joined ClearAV in June 2008. He worked within the TV service industry and also spent over fifteen years as a sales manager in the Electrical Industry. As Business Development Manager, Terry puts customer service as his number one priority. His role is to promote the company within the specification arena and work closely with consultant engineers and contractors on the design and procurement of projects.
Peter Dowds Senior Operations Engineer

As a co-founding member of ClearAV, Peter has worked to establish and maintain the highest standards of technical expertise and customer satisfaction. Peter has undertaken an extensive and on-going educational program, travelling world wide to further his already considerable knowledge and understanding. Peter is an Infocomm CTS certified technology specialist design
Shaw Smith Senior AV Engineer

Shaw joined Clear AV Ltd in October 2005 bringing with him 13 years of experience in the Audio Visual Installation and Electronic Servicing Industry. Shaw is now one of the company s senior audio visual engineers, responsible for the design and project management of commercial and residential systems, ensuring that the client’s expectations are met and exceeded. Shaw is an Infocomm Certified Technology Specialist.
Richard Portis TV Engineer

Ricky joined ClearAV ten years ago and works as part of the RF signals team. He is responsible for all aspects of TV installations on site including testing and commissioning.
Chris McClean Systems Solution Engineer

Chris is ClearAV’s specialist engineer in CCTV, Access Control and Alarm Systems. He has 20 years experience within his specialised field. Chris is responsible for the design and installation of systems and also dedicates his time to sourcing new products and solutions for the CCTV, Access and Alarm industry. Each system that Chris has designed and installed has been purpose made, specifically to suite clients
needs.
Emmet Fox Design team

Emmet Fox joined ClearAV in September 2010. With a HND in Architectural Technology and a Degree in Architecture Emmet brought with him 4 years of industry experience in the construction sector. He works as a part of a busy Audio Visual Design team and uses high profile 3D visualisations of commercial and residential projects to aid the design process. Emmet also organises commissioning documentation.
Ciaran Stevenson Design team

Ciaran joined ClearAV in October 2009 coming from one of Northern Ireland’s leading Mechanical and Electrical Consulting Engineers. He has considerable experience in the design of audio visual systems in major building projects throughout the public and commercial sector. Ciaran is dedicated to maintaining high quality standards and workmanship.
Noel Sofely Senior R & D Engineer

Noel has been with the company for over five yearsand works in the R & D department as a bespoke systems programmer and senior R&D engineer researching and testing new technologies for future projects.
Matthew Chambers R & D Engineer

Matt has worked as a system programmer and a member of the R&D team at ClearAV for four years. During this time he as programmed various systems ranging from full home control to intelligent lighting systems.
Mark Chambers Estimation

Mark has been with ClearAV for over four years and is responsible for all aspects of estimation and pricing, including tender returns. Working within tight deadlines and with attention to detail Mark ensures that all our customers get accurate pricing on time every time.
Lesley-Anne Nelson Company Secretary

Lesley-Anne fills the viral role of Company Secretary and office manager. She has been with ClearAV since the company was formed and is also responsible for staff payroll
Zoe Smith Facilities Management

Zoe joined ClearAV in Sept 2007 having previously worked for one of N. Irelands leading Elect Contractors. Zoe ensures the smooth running of the facilities management department and also covers job costing analysis
Carole Wallace Accounts

Carole has been working for ClearAV for nearly five years and deals with all aspects of accounts including credit control and purchase ledger.
Yvonne Dowds Accounts

Yvonne joined the company five years ago. She works in the accounts department assisting in all aspects of accounts and administration.
Gary Byrne Site Supervisor

Tom Jones Stock Control Manager

Tom is a recent recruit to the team having previously worked as an operations manager in the building industry. He joined the company in 2011 and manages all aspects of stock control and materials requisition.
